Zara is one of my favorite stores (Italy had them on every corner, it was fabulous!), so I was excited to see they now offer baby clothing. A store where I can shop for me, my hubby AND my (future) babe...sold!

Vera Bradley Baby

Today Vera Bradley debuts their newest collection, Vera Bradley Baby, online and in stores. While their prints are typically much too bold for me, I do think these socks are absolutely adorable! Not to mention I know quite a few moms who will be ecstatic to see this line.

Dolce & Gabbana: Baby Perfume

The fashion house has developed a unisex perfume for babies that is supposed to enhance the 'baby smell,' with notes of citrus, honey and melon. Stefano Gabbana describes the inspiration as "the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, the first smile." Granted I'm not a mother yet, so I can't comment on if this is actually a good idea, but D&G seems to think so!

Baby Shower Gifts

Now that I've attended my last baby shower of the season, I can share with you some fun gifts I've given. I typically give something from the registry, and something that is more personal and fitting from me. My all time favorite gift, regardless of the sex of the baby, is this book. It's full of classic nursery rhymes, with a twist that incorporates fashion, and one that I can see myself reading over and over again. The artwork in the book is also spectacular.

Nearly all of my friends are currently pregnant, or just had a baby. Some are waiting to find out the sex, some are finding out and simply calling friends and family to tell them, and some are having a gender reveal party. When I first heard about this - I knew this was something that I wanted to do one day!!! Here's how it works:

1. Get the sonogram results from your doctor in a sealed envelope
2. Take the envelope to your local bakery and ask that they open it (after you've left, of course!) and dependent on if it's a boy or a girl, use pink or blue icing (or cake!) inside
3. Invite all your friends and family over and cut the cake to determine what you will be having!

I think this is such a fun way to find out - and be able to celebrate with everyone at the same time. Even the NY Times wrote an article about this growing trend. Is this something you would do? Have you done something similar?

Baby Fashion

I got the idea for a post about baby's fashion when I saw the lineup from Missoni for Target. Since my Target was out of nearly all the women's clothes, I browsed through the children's section just to adore the prints and styles. Honestly, I wanted to purchase some for future use, but I held back. A lot of my friends are pregnant or already have children, so I am able to use them as my muse. There are so many collections with on-point trends for children, I cannot wait to have my own to play dress up with! For now...I will lust and buy for others.
