Floppy Hats
I love hats during all seasons, but summer especially. I've discussed my love of fedoras previously, but this post is focused is on floppy hats. As I've gotten older, I've been working hard to keep the wrinkles at bay. That being said, I still love the beach. So in order to make both work, hats are essential. This summer when I hit the islands, I want to make sure I have the perfect topper.

Style Me Chic: Back to School
Reader Jennine is looking for advice on style for fall fashion. As a college student, she is on a budget, but is willing to pay £100 for good quality pieces to make an outfit. She describes herself as boho chic and likes the style of Mary Kate and Ashley Olson, Sienna Miller and Rachel Bilson. Below are the looks I put together for her. What Not To Wear
A hat and sunglasses - together. Unless you're a celeb, trying to fly under the radar, it just looks over-accessorized. I personally think it's also uncomfortable. While wearing fedoras this summer, I've tried on sunglasses, and it just didn't fit right. Perhaps it's because my sunglasses are oversized. Darcy Rhone (from Something Borrowed & Something Blue) also agrees with my sentiments on this subject.

Megan Fox - only ok because she's trying to be inconspicuous |
As with every rule, there are exceptions. The look below is an example of how you can pair the two, and it can work. Even still, I prefer it sans-sunglasses, so as to give more attention to the gorgeous hat!

Trend: Fedoras
Fedoras are another hot summer accessory that shouldn’t be overlooked. What’s great is that both guys and girls can rock this look! For warmer months, it’s best to buy one that is made of straw or linen, so that you won’t overheat.
How you position the hat on your head is another important aspect. Ensure that it sits level and snug, you don’t want to look like Charlie Chaplin with a hat positioned on top of your head. Let's also talk about tilting. A slight tilt to the left or right is fine. However, please do not tilt it down so that it covers your face. We’re not hip hop artists here, we’re fashionistas!
There are a lot of different cuts of fedoras, so be sure to try it on first to confirm a good look. Check out what celebs are wearing this trend, and which brands I suggest.

I Love Leopard!
As you can already tell from my blog title, I love leopard, and pink, and leopard and pink together! Leopard and red work nicely together as well.
It is such a great pattern to add some style to any outfit, whether it’s through shoes, jewelry, a scarf or a piece of clothing. However, use caution and only wear the appropriate amount of leopard print; a single piece does the trick.
