Zoo Bans Leopard Print Clothing

With the amount of leopard in my wardrobe, I find this article amusing. It's understandable that the animals could get confused, I just can't get over the fact that animal prints are such a staple in fashion now, that such a rule has to be implemented.

Elyse Walker

I fell in love with espadrille flats this summer, and was ecstatic to see that Elyse Walker has a line that can carry into Fall. With pony hair upper with leather sole, these will be sure to keep your feet warmer than the previous versions from summer. I think we can all guess which pair I've got my eye on!

Louis Vuitton: Speedy Retrospective

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Speedy Retrospective event at Galleria's LV. Beginning with a cocktail dubbed the "Sweet Speedy" the store had been outfitted with all the famous Speedys throughout the years.

Wall of Speedys
My favorite - leopard, of course!
What was most interesting though, was the on-site technician demonstrating the process of assembling the handles. The middle is sewn through a machine, however, the ends are pulled through by hand. Each technician is trained in only one type of strap, so the person working on Speedys would not be the same as those making straps for the Artsys.

Tools and accessories to make the handles
Handles, throughout each process
Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the evening were the photos! Everyone grabbed sunnies, scarves and bags to pose with for a keepsake photo.

Style Me Chic: Black Tie Clutch

Jamie will be attending a some black tie events in the coming months and needs a clutch to match; one gown is red and the other is purple. She doesn't have a preference on having one that matches both, or buying two separate ones, but she'd like the budget to stay around $100 for both; slightly higher if it's something she can use more often. I kept the palette neutral, so she had the opportunity to use it for both events.

Fashion's Night Out

FNO Georgetown was a great time - full of stores with DJs, finger foods and cocktails. I scored the Garance Dore studio pull over (at a discount!) and this fabulous knit top with leather sleeves from Zara (similar here), along with some lip glosses from Kiehl's and Sephora. Did you celebrate FNO?

Nordys Half-Yearly Sale Picks!

When my sister and I were kids, my mom would take us shopping and always tell our dad that we were going to "shop til we dropped!" and we literally would. We shopped all day, had lunch, and then shopped some more. So it is no surprise I am the way I am today. Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale is one of the greatest sales in retail. I always look forward to this and try to stock up on everything I've been lusting for, that is sometimes 50% off! Here are some of the items I will be checking out this weekend...

I was hoping to find the following shoes on sale, but unfortunately they are not. Here's hoping for a Black Friday sale!!

Trend: Loafers

I've seen this trend on blogs, in mags and in stores...but I haven't quite bought in. However, I saw a girl walking in the city last week wearing a pair of leopard loafers and I've been thinking about this trend ever since. Perhaps it was the leopard...but I think I need to try on a pair of these next time I'm at the mall. What do you think of loafers? Do you own a pair - or do you plan to? Click any shoe for more information, or click here for the dalmation print loafers.

Wishlist Wednesday

There are two things I am slightly obsessed with - scarves and leopard print. Surprisingly I don't currently own a leopard scarf (I do have other animal prints though, don't worry!) and when I saw this one, I fell in love. And promptly shed a tear when I saw that it was unavailable! Now I'm on the hunt for a similar one. I love that it's a large print, as I haven't seen that anywhere else. Perhaps I'll hit up The Look 4 Less to see if she has any suggestions...

I Love Leopard!

As you can already tell from my blog title, I love leopard, and pink, and leopard and pink together! Leopard and red work nicely together as well.

It is such a great pattern to add some style to any outfit, whether it’s through shoes, jewelry, a scarf or a piece of clothing. However, use caution and only wear the appropriate amount of leopard print; a single piece does the trick.
