Review: Lancome Hypnôse Doll Lashes

I'm always on the search for the perfect mascara. After reading a review of this one on another blog, I decided to try it out for myself.

Unfortunately, this one is not perfect for me. While I thought I would enjoy the tapered wand, it made it difficult to apply on my left eye. I typically hold the wand with my right hand and apply coming in from the right (if that makes sense!) Well, by doing it this way, the tapered part is at the wrong end. It also fell under my eyes over the course of the day, which is something I cannot overlook.

Have you used this? What are your thoughts? Have you found the perfect mascara? The next one on my list to try is Bobbi Brown, Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening. Try it along with me - available  at Apothica here.

Review: Kate Spade Towels

After we re-painted our bathroom, I had a difficult time finding towels to go with it. I finally chose Kate Spade's Larabee towels (light gray), and while they were not as thick as I had wanted, I loved the muted pattern. It's been about 4 months now since we've been using them, and they are beginning to discolor...similar to if they had been bleached. That being said, if you too love the pattern, I would  suggest putting them in a guest bathroom or powder room that isn't used on a daily basis.

Product Review: MAC vs Store Brand Makeup Wipes

I have been using MAC's makeup removing wipes for a few years now and love. They smell great, are big enough to get my (sometimes) intense eye makeup off, and are a fairly reasonable price. However, not too long ago I had run out and didn't have time to swing by a mall to pick up a new pack. I was at the grocery store and bought the store brand to hold me until I had time to visit MAC. Awful idea.

The store brand was dry and it took a lot of work to get all my makeup off, not to mention my eyes hurt after rubbing so hard. The smell wasn't bad, but it also wasn't as pleasent as MAC's. Overall, if I HAVE to choose another brand to tide me over, it certainly won't be a store brand, perhaps the Pond's version...
