Eight & Bob

In honor of the 50th anniversary of JFK's passing, his fragrance is now available for purchase, exclusively at Bergdorfs and Neimans. The back story is quite intriguing. While in France during his college years, JFK linked up with a Frenchman, Albert Fouquet, a perfume-maker. The sample he brought back to the States was a hit and he requested Fouquet send him eight more samples, plus one for his brother (Bob). When JFK received the samples, they were labeled "Eight & Bob."
When World War II began, the perfume maker hid the bottles inside books that he cut by hand, so that the Nazis wouldn't seize it. As a way to pay homage to the heritage of the brand, the current packaging is similar to how it was hidden all those years ago. Want to read more? Check out the full story here.

SJP Shoes

I think we are all collectively thinking, finally!!! Who wouldn't want Carrie Bradshaw to design shoes?! Sarah Jessica Parker has partnered with Manolo Blahnik CEO, George Malkemus to create a line of shoes (and bags and trenches). Prices will range from $200-$300 and be exclusive to Nordstrom in early 2014.

“We’re putting new colors together that people don’t typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet,” says Parker.

Fashion Watch: Met Ball

Check out SJP's amazing mohawk/fascinator; I'd say she nailed the theme of "Punk: Chaos to Couture." Find all the looks from last night's event here.

Minus the see-through factor, this custom Alaia is gorgeous and she looks amazing in red!

Rocking the black and white trend, Beyonce surprised everyone in an Osman pantsuit

Your grandmother wants her rug back...

Dior Fall 2012

The beautiful Mila Kunis will be the face of Dior for the second time, in their Fall 2012 ad campaign. As someone who has always wanted paparazzi, I absolutely love this shoot!

50 Shades Casting Call

Since we have all read the 50 Shades trilogy (unless you're living under a rock!) I thought I'd throw out who I'd like to see cast as a few of the characters. Do you agree with my picks? Who would you choose? I can't wait to see who they do, in fact, cast!!

Chace Crawford as Christian
Emma Roberts as Ana
Michelle Pfeiffer as Elena

New Face of Chanel No. 5...

Brad Pitt!?!  Am I the only one who doesn't think this conveys? What does this say exactly? That if you wear this perfume, the likes of Brad Pitt will take notice of you? Maybe it's just me...but I think it's all wrong. I'm not a huge Nicole Kidman fan, but even I would take her over BP.

HomeMint

With Justin Timberlake's amazing style, it's no wonder that the "Mint" empire has drafted him as the latest celebrity to collaborate with their brand. HomeMint will feature artwork, dinnerware, furniture and other decor that is designed by both JT and celebrity stylist Estee Stanley. As with their other lines (StyleMint, BeautyMint, ShoeMint), HomeMint will offer membership for $9.99 a month, which goes towards your purchase that month. So what do you think - will you be signing up? Are you members of any of the other brands?

Land Rover + Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham has partnered with Land Rover to design a limited edition Evoque, which she calls "a bag on wheels." I have wanted a Range Rover for as long as I can remember...and while I'm not a fan of the Evoque design, I was intrigued when one of my favorite fashion icon's designed one. VB chose the interior and exterior finishes, the (mohair) carpet and the best feature: rose gold accented grille, wheels and dashboard. Perhaps I should re-think my opposition to the Evoque!

Have you heard of the new (fashion) app, Trendabl? It's a program where you can snap a photo of you or someone wearing an outfit you like, and tag the clothes or accessories based on designer. This would be perfect for people watching in NYC! The platform is similar to Pinterest, but heavy hitters from the fashion world participating! Diane von Furstenburg, MK & A Olsen and Brad Goreski are already onboard.

Fashion Watch: The Oscars

Highlights from last nights festivities includes gold gowns and buns! There were so many gowns I loved, not shown include Judy Greer. Hits and misses as follows, for the "Super Bowl" for fashionistas!

Best Dressed:

Stacy Keibler in Marchesa. She looked like an Oscar statue herself!
Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli. I typically don't like red heads in red, but she looks amaze!
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton. Stunning, rocking the peplum trend
Cameron Diaz in Gucci. I love the detailing at the bottom
Maya Rudolph in Johanna Johnson. A surprise favorite; I love the shoulder and belt detail
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji. She really knows how to wear gowns that flatter her body type, A+

Worst Dressed:

Glenn Close in Zac Posen. Women is blazers are not welcome on the red carpet.
Sandra Bullock in Marchesa. I normally love this designer, but the drop waist looks terrible
Tina Fey in Caroline Herrera. Just awful!

Rachel Zoe+Tiffany & Co.

It even rhymes - how perfect! As a tribute to the Oscars, fashion goddess, Rachel Zoe has collaborated with Tiffany's to design their windows for their flagship stores in NYC, Beverly Hills, Hong Kong, Toyko, Singapore and London. Her theme included old Hollywood glam throughout the decades. While the photos are gorgeous, I can't even imagine how major they look in person!

1940s boudoir

1950s red carpet

1960s Elizabeth Taylor

1970s classic elegance

Fashion Watch: The Grammys

Here's my wrap up from last night's festivities...

Hits

Rihanna in Giorgio Armani, a piece she helped design!

Taylor Swift looking elegant and Victorian in Zuhair Murad

Kate Beckinsale, also in Zuhair Murad. Love love love!

Paris Hilton in Basil Soda, a designer I recently looked at for bridal gowns

Misses:

Katy Perry in Elie Saab, reminiscent of Kelly Cuoco's disaster at the SAG awards

Fergie in Jean Paul Gaultier. I don't so much hate the concept, as much as her execution of it

...and don't even get me started on Nicki Minaj!

Fashion Watch: SAG Awards

Reminiscent from the Golden Globes, there were plenty of ponytails and nude gowns, but last night was lacking the lavishness of gowns that I am accustomed to. That being said, here are the few looks I enjoyed, and a couple that were not so hot.

Hits

Kyra Sedgwick in Pucci. Love the cutout, and the low cut back. So chic!

Lea Michele in Versace. I love the structured bodice, although I wouldn't have made the slit quite so high...

Rose Byrne in Elie Saab. She took a risk wearing a jumpsuit on the red carpet, but she rocked it!

Misses

Kelly Cuoco wearing Romona Keveza. Cake topper anyone?

Kristen Wiig in Balenciaga. Hiding a hickey perhaps?

Fashion Watch: Golden Globes

This year I joined some fabulous ladies to chat live about the Golden Globes using Spreecast - have you all ever used this? It was a really fun and Jessica from First Came Fashion was in there on camera discussing the red carpet fashion as well!

I used this event to gain inspiration for my wedding gown, as I want something more red carpet than bridal. With all the nudes and blushes, it did not disappoint!! I die over Charlize's frock and Elle looks stunning in that mermaid silhouette.

Charlize Theron in Dior Couture
Elle MacPherson in Zac Posen
Giuliana Rancic in Basil Soda
An awards show wouldn't be complete without a worst dressed list as well. While Sarah claimed her daughter chose her dress, I think she needs to realize this could be fashion suicide and should simply wear this dress around the house to appease her little one. I adore Frieda's necklace (Chopard), but her gown is not flattering at all for her fabulous figure!

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Monique Lhuiller

Freida Pinto in Prada
