Rome's Iconic Cobblestone + High Heels

If any city in the world can call itself a fashion capital, I'll safely assume it's Rome (home to Gucci and Fendi's headquarters), based on this new information. Rome's mayor Gianni Alemanno stated they have plans to smooth many of the city's cobblestoned sidewalks and streets to a more even cobblestone. What spurred this change? Women and their high heels! That's right, Rome is giving in to the cries of millions of women trying to walk in 5 inch heels on the bumpy cobblestone roads. Now that is a change I fully endorse!

Wedding Wednesday: NYC Photographers

I am on the hunt for a photographer who is based in the NYC area. Since I got engaged up there, I wanted to have our engagement shoot there as well. I'm looking for a photog that has a photojournalist approach, possibly uses fun props and has an eye for all the best photo opps in the city. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment!

Tech Gloves

As it's getting colder, I've been wearing my favorite Tory Burch gloves. However, using my iPhone has been troubling since it can't feel my warm finger. I've heard about tech gloves, but I thought they only style available for these were rigid/boring/non-fashionable ones. Boy was I wrong! Celebrity Barbie's

Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry are the latest celebrities to have a Barbie Doll made afte rthem. Mattel has created one of each of these dolls to be auctioned off on December 19th on CharityBuzz, with proceeds going to Project Angel Food.

Holiday Party Food+Decor

This year's holiday party will be so much more fun, as I've had Pinterest as my drawing board for the past few months. I've collected so many great ideas and I can't wait to incorporate them into the food. Here are a few of the ideas I'll be using...

In keeping with the wedding themed posts, I have a bit of a dilemma. I've always known this was going to be a challenge for me when the time came, and now it is here. My engagement ring is set in platinum and I have a complex when pairing my gold jewelry with it. I've seen tons of bloggers do it, and they don't seem to have a problem, but I don't know what it is, to me it just looks like it doesn't "go" together. And let's get real - it's not as if I'm going to skip wearing this gorgeous rock just so I can wear gold jewelry one day!

So I'm looking to you all for input. Have you had this same problem? What do you think of this combo below? Am I just crazy??

Wedding Wednesday: Venue

Since I will now be posting about my wedding, I figure I'd switch up Wishlist Wednesday with Wedding Wednesday every now and then. First up is nailing down our date. My fiance (love saying that!) and I are currently both in grad school, so we are waiting until after graduation so that we are able to fully enjoy everything. Therefore we won't be saying our vows until at least May 2013. Unfortunately since that is so far away, the resort we want, Rockhouse Hotel in Jamaica, has not yet begun booking dates. Apparently it is very difficult to get in as well, since 1. they only hold weddings in their off season and 2. they only hold one wedding per week. So today begins my quest in stalking the wedding coordinator to ensure she remembers come March, that I want in!!! Here are a few photos of the amazing resort...
