I Said Yes!
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, while walking through Central Park, my boyfriend proposed on Bow Bridge. It was absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier!!! My sister was there to capture every moment, as we were taking our holiday card photo, which turned into the proposal. She made this cute sign for me as well, to announce to all our friends. Looking forward to sharing all my wedding planning with my readers - so get ready!

I'm off to NYC and couldn't be more excited!! NYC is by far my favorite city in the U.S. and it's even better during the holidays. Lots of shopping, eating and parade watching is on the itinerary, as well as Central Park time with my pup! Happy Thanksgiving all...fingers crossed for an amazing Black Friday in Manhattan :)

Pantyhose - In Style Again?
My first job out of college required me to wear pantyhouse if I wore a skirt or dress - archaic, I know! I even tried to slide by with a dress and tall boots, but the nazi-HR director apparently stared at my knees. After I left that job, I cheerfully said goodbye to those dreadful things!!
With Kate Middleton as a fashion icon, and her proper dress code, do you think pantyhose will make a comeback? L'eggs just lauched it's first ad campaign in 15 years, clearly hoping the answer is yes. Perhaps they will make a European comeback first? I can safely say, I refuse to take part in the resurgence. I have a difficult time even wearing tights - that I actually like the look of - because of the lack of comfort.

This fall I've been fixated on coats. I've already purchased two, a leather jacket and a cape, and I've got my eye on the next one. I don't currently own a camel-colored coat, and I love knit detail on the collar of this one.

Kate Moss's younger [half] sister, Lottie, has made her modeling debut. Check out the editorial shots by Andrea Carter Bowman. At only 13, she has quite the future ahead of her. What do you think? Will she be as big as Kate? Let's just hope she doesn't have as much controversy as her illustrious big sis!

Splurge vs. Steal
For the last 5-6 years I have been using DiorShow mascara, on the recommendation from a friend who was a buyer for cosmetics at a department store. I have been very pleased with this brand and product and have no reason to stray. However, a couple of months ago my sister gave me her Maybelline XXL Curl Power mascara because she didn't like it. I had just run out of my Dior, so I tried out the XXL until I had time to make it to the store to refill. Now with this product, there are two wands - 1 to be used as a primer (it's white) and 2 - is the mascara itself (black). I used as directed, but didn't particularly like the outcome. The next couple of days I used only the second wand and was surprisingly pleased with how my lashes looked! So if you're on a budget, I would definitely check out Maybelline's XXL line of mascara; there are several different versions, such as volumizing, lengthening, etc.

Holiday Party Glam
It's November - which means it's time to begin the search for holiday party attire! My boyfriend and I have been hosting annual holiday parties since we've been together, and I always have the hardest time figuring out what to wear. The biggest dilemma is that shoes are not able to be part of the outfit, as he is Asian, and we have a "no shoes in home" policy. Trying to find a cocktail dress that still looks chic with bare feet is quite challenging.

Nordys Half-Yearly Sale Picks!
When my sister and I were kids, my mom would take us shopping and always tell our dad that we were going to "shop til we dropped!" and we literally would. We shopped all day, had lunch, and then shopped some more. So it is no surprise I am the way I am today. Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale is one of the greatest sales in retail. I always look forward to this and try to stock up on everything I've been lusting for, that is sometimes 50% off! Here are some of the items I will be checking out this weekend...
I was hoping to find the following shoes on sale, but unfortunately they are not. Here's hoping for a Black Friday sale!!
